What I did in 12 weeks!

I just received an email that said "congrats for being on sparkpeople. com for 12 weeks" I can't believe it has been 12 weeks. It really is tremendous what I feel I have accomplished in 12 weeks.

Yesterday I did it! For the first time EVER I ran/walked 5K. Now I am training for the Trick or treat 5K and still have 2 weeks before I "HAVE" to do this, but I am following the run/walk program on here and yesterday was 5K day. Great news-me and Sophie the dog did it!! It was a struggle at the end (more for sophie then me). 50 minutes and 5K-which when I think back to how I began, it is impressive.


In 12 weeks I have trained and run a 5K. In 12 weeks I have lost over 15 pounds. In 12 weeks I have passed through my first plateau. In 12 weeks I have become a healthier version of me. In 12 weeks I have walked the dog almost every day. In 12 weeks I have gone from barely walking 1 mile to easily walk/jogging 2 miles on a regular basis. In 12 weeks I have gone from a 1 minute run followed by a 4 minute walk being difficult to a 4 minute run/2 minute walk being easy. In 12 weeks I have started a zumba class. In 12 weeks I have cooked MUCH healthier meals. In 12 weeks I have started thinking about if that was really worth it-whatever "it" might be. In 12 weeks I have gone from a 20/22-pushing a 22/24 in pants to an 18/20 being lose. In 12 weeks I have spent more time outside than I have in years.

In the next 12 weeks I plan to lose 5-10 more pounds. In the next 12 weeks I plan to keep walking/jogging. In the next 12 weeks I plan to eat smart at the holidays. In the next 12 weeks I will take care of my family. In the next 12 weeks I will keep up with my little girl, as I think she will be running! In the next 12 weeks I will keep a positive outlook on life. In the next 12 weeks I will recognize when I am eating because I am stressed versus hungry. In the next 12 weeks I will try some more recipes. In the next 12 weeks I will become a healthier me!
