7 days of exercise in a row. Go me. Didn't work out Saturday morning but I didn't worry about it because we were going to pick up walnuts, which if you've ever done it, it totally counts as a workout. But...DH got off work at 8am and was too tired to go. And then before I knew it, it was time for the PTO carnival, and then it was super late...and guess what, no workout. So instead of saying 'oh well' and going to bed after DH left for work I did some yoga. Streak saved. Got up this morning and vacuumed. Then did my a.m. yoga dvd before DH got home. And then we DID pick up walnuts today. I think I'm going to feel it tomorrow.
7 day exercise streak. Now is when it gets tough. I've done 7 days before. But each day I get more likely to skip a day and say '6 days/wk is enough'. Then '5 days/wk is still great'. And then...sometimes it might be weeks or months before I do exercise on purpose. I'm not saying I need to go all out every day. But my 'rest days' should be ACTIVE rest days. I know a 10 min walk doesn't really count as a great workout either. But I'm not so much focusing on losing weight right now so much as I'm trying to create a better foundation for continuing with my weight loss. I'm working on creating a healthy lifestyle. A better mentality about exercise. Every day should have something active. I'm hoping once I can create that base, then I can work on increasing the intensity of the activity more. Maybe it will work. Maybe not. It's a strategy I'm trying right now. The goal right now...don't fizzle.
