Day 39 -- WOOWHOO! How many days are you doing this round?

Oh my goodness, you had all the temptations at you. We have too much around here. Everyday when I leave my block--there's a BK staring at me. My office is right beside the mall. So, it's surrounded by the strip malls of food on the outskirts and of course, we face the side of the mall with the restaurants. In the office, we also do catering for our meetings so all of the leftovers that come my way --- OMGosh! When I pick my son up from school -- whop tee do, there's another mall plus a couple of fast food places. On a daily basis I see BK, Wendy's, Chick-fil-A, Hardees, Popeyes, McDonald's, Taco Bell, Dunkin Donuts -- and these are multiple locations. We need more fruit stands. Having willpower is key. And you, my dear, have the willpower, and I tell you -- we do feel much better after we resist those things that come at us.

I love the SUPPORT saying. It is right. I'm down 28 pounds since starting this protocol, and I owe each and every pound to my SP Friends. You all are great.

    Hey Lisa,

Great vlog today, thanks. I'm on VLCD29 and my first no drop day. That means I'll move to Phase 3 on Wednesday morning (i can taste the almond butter already). I've really appreciated listening to you share the details of your journey.

I don't ever exercise to the extent you do, but am anxious to get back to a richer workout. I tend to pull back on Phase Two rounds as the book suggests so I've been getting about 45 minutes of cardio the past 4 weeks but no yoga or strength program. I'll add those back into my routine next week.

My struggle is never fast foods but the foods my husband and I prepare at home. He's an amazing cook and we love planning our menus every Saturday and enjoying our evening meals. We also love entertaining on the weekends so we avoid that during Phase 2. While he doesn't struggle with weight, he is incredibly supportive. I am so lucky in that way. He uses my phase two sessions to prepare all the foods I dislike but that he and my daughter adore (mashed potatoes with peas, corn, spaghetti and meatballs, etc). He is also really thoughtful about which foods will be a real treat on Phase Three without compromising all the work I've done.

This has been my fourth round and I've enjoyed successful weight loss but was sad that the first 10 pounds lost this round was the same 10 pounds I had lost the last round. I have been careful to really space my phase two protocols over the last year, adding more time on phase 4 with each completion of phase three. For me, it's important to have the opportunity to practice a balanced lifestyle and improve upon my tendencies to give in. The last weight gain occurred in the four weeks before I started this round and I can trace it directly to emotional eating due to school starting (I'm a teacher) and my teenage daughter struggling.

Enough rambling, be well and thanks again for inviting us along as you travel this course.

You're on the last stretch. Lisa even if you don't make goal, you did so very well and should be proud of your accomplishments. Hold your head up high!

emoticon with the weight loss. I realise it is difficult so thats why am rooting for you! We only have a icky pizza bar about 1 km away from my home, I live right out in the country side.. I put myself off by thinking what the saturated fat does to our arteries and veins.. I also look at what has happened to my clients whom I visit daily- they have had strokes and blood clots.. They are majorly damaged and now I am learning which centrals in the brain no longer function it is horrible.. I look at how they have lost muscle definition, some are divorced because their partners can't handle them having no control over their bladder etc.. I am looking at the total cost a lifestyle illness costs people around me..
I wanna be able to walk and wash myself until I am put in a coffin- I don't care about the smell of junkfood.. I see the quiet destruction close up to put myself off..
I am freelance so I get some of the difficult cases- some of them would be better off dying, because of the degree their freedom is removed from them.. Sometimes they live for years and years in worn out bodies..
