So I was invited out for girls night........

Friday, October 07, 2011

So I was invited out to girls night tonight with some females from my Zumba class. I was happy that I was invited, but I still don't like doing a lot of that kind of social stuff (going to the club). I still feel fat and I just couldn't bring myself to say yes to them. My question is will this change? I mean when I get closer to my goal weight will I have more courage to do the things I use to do? I don't want the ladies to think I'm being antisocial, but I still don't feel comfortable in that type of situation.

That is me! I hate going out just because my confidence level is so low. But on the other hand, I feel like I've missed out on so much life.....

My confidence level is DIRECTLY correlated with my weight. So maybe things will get better closer to goal.

Go out. Have fun!!

I get that way too. If I don't feel pretty or 100% comfortable in my skin, then I don't really want to go out. I'd much rather relax at home on days like that. However, by doing so, I'm missing out! I miss out on the opportunity for fun, and maybe even some fitness! So try not to worry about it sometimes...and just go out and have some fun!!! emoticon emoticon

I totally get that feeling, and I do the same thing sometimes BUT I think it really does help to go out and have fun with your friends. Even if your self-esteem is at rock bottom you can check out other girls' cute outfits and hairstyles for inspiration when you're feeling better about yourself, or you can try a new bar (or even just drink) so you're more knowledgeable next time you go out, etc.
