Trying with all my heart

Friday, October 07, 2011

First I would like to say thank you to all of you for your kind words and your support. I am doing better than last week but I do have to say that I am a little on the numb side for other deaths....in the last 2 weeks I have lost my Mother, a friend/customer, and an acquantance and yesterday a little girl who would be 2 died( I do not know the parents as they are friends of a friend) but I have to say because she was only 22 months old and was going to be 2 in Dec, this one seems to have affected me on the heart side.
I know the old saying that deaths happen in 3's however I have to say this year>>>>>

Husband's Aunt-cancer
Sister in Laws Step Mom-cancer
My Grandmother-cancer
My Mother-suicide
My friend-suicide
Acquantance-heart

Little gir :-( not sure why.....

So with this week I have been trying to bring myself back a little and I have actually made it to curves Tues, Wed, Thurs and I am going to go again today. I have gone to the martial art club all week and have also talked to some of my friends about my Mom and had a couple cries too, which is healthy and I have been so overwhelmed with customers wanting their pictures, as I am a photographer, that I have been crazy busy. I must confess though the little guy that I babysit has watched a lot of tv because I have needed to edit.....next week after I catch up I will have the tv off and we will be playing, running, and back to our routine.
Funny how death doesn't slow anything down however I think that it is a blessing in disguise to help the mind stay a little busy and I don't have long periods of sitting and thinking about life pondering the what if's and such.

I am so sorry to hear about the multiple deaths that you've had to cope with in the last couple of weeks. It's too much for one family/person to bear. Take things one day at a time. Little steps do add up.

Take care of yourself !

I've been hoping you would post a blog soon, and am glad that you are beginning to get back to your routine. Getting out for some exercise, especially if it's nice and sunny outside, definitely helps raise your spirits. It's good that you have been able to talk to some of your friends about your mother, and to cry about her death. I hope that you will look for the groups that you mentioned; it helps to learn how other people deal with situations that are similar to yours. Not the same, and they won't react exactly the same way, but it still helps to hear what they, and the group leaders, have to say. Keep up the good work!
