I've been extremely ill for about a week now. I'm so ready to be healthy again- and I believe I'm on the right track. Today I didn't wake up in a lot of pain or with much congestion. I'm drinking a ton of water today in an effort to flush this out of my system. The past two days I haven't drank or eaten anything- I was basically bedridden.
Tomorrow I am packing for a week-long trip home. I've been calling it my vacation, because it sorta feels that way. I'm staying in my best friends new home! She signed the papers the day I moved to Chicago, but because it was a "fixer-upper" she moved in 3 weeks ago! I'm SO excited to see all the work that she has put into it & I'm really excited to have have time to spend with just her. The weekend trips I've made home since I moved have been so stressful- everyone wants to see Z & I and there is just not enough time.
This time I'm taking a train & I'm going sans boyfriend! I'm excited- it's gonna be my little adventure. The only real plans I have are shopping in Brown County with my sister & mother. I'm just so thankful to have a week of relaxing & shopping. I've really needed it after this week!
I'm gonna try... NO! I am going to stay within my ranges this week. I'm going to allow myself 2 cheat meals. Not days, MEALS. I have no excuses because I know how to stay on track. I will drink my water & look up restaurants beforehand if need be. Just because I'm away from home for a week doesn't mean all hell breaks loose!
I bet I'll get antsy just driving around everywhere since I'm so used to walking here. I wonder if I can talk anyone into evening walks around the new neighborhood with me. If not, I'll be doing it by myself in the mornings.
It's amazing how much I've changed in the 3 months I've lived here....
