I'm feeling a bit blah this week...

The temperature has dropped, which is something that I look forward to ALL Summer long... but that means that instead of sweating all day I get to freeze all day. The big maintenance shop building that I work in always seems to have at least one of the six big bay doors open... and they don't turn the heat on until mid-November... not that it really helps anyway when the guys leave the doors open. I spend my whole day closing doors so that they can open them up a few minutes later. I broke down last year and bought myself a little space heater that I keep under the desk and that helps, thank goodness, but my hands and feet stay like ice cubes all day long. Whatever happened to having a nice period of time in the 70s... then the 60s??? I swear we go straight from 100 to 40 then back to 100... and that just sucks! I want some actual FALL weather!

I've been doing good in the crazy stressful class... but I have a test coming up very soon. I am going to take it Friday morning while I am off of work I think. It's multiple choice and short essay. I'm having a hard time with making myself study though... and I'm so not interested in this material that it's hard for me to remember it. The teacher posted four possible essay questions and I already wrote out answers to all four and I've been studying them because I totally blank when it comes to essay questions on tests. I'm just hoping that I can at least pull off a B on the test. I am starting to get annoyed with our group project already and we haven't even really started it yet. I am in a group with three other ladies... two never respond to messages and the other one is only available to meet as a group for maybe three or four hours out of the week... and they are weird hours like Monday afternoons between 1:30 and 3:30... WTF??? I'm thinking that like usual, I'll end up doing the whole project. Group work really sucks!!!

I'm starting to think that I should have just made that damn birthday cake... and I'm sure it's just because of the week that it is this week... but I have been craving anything and everything CHOCOLATE!!! I have been able to fit a small piece of chocolate or two into my ranges each day this week, but the craving isn't going away at all. Hopefully by the end of the week it'll be gone! *crossing fingers*

Well, how's that for a random blogs?

I guess I better go study...

I would be frozen solid here in our office without my little space heater. Too bad it has to sit under my desk so only my toes get warm. My hands and shoulders stay cold.

Could you make that cake, have one small piece and give the rest of it away? That's what I do when I feel like I have to bake something sweet. I get a piece and my co-workers and neighbors get all the rest of it. LOL

I read that if you eat a piece of 100-200 calorie-serving of Dark chocolate with at least 70% cacao every day, that you won't have sweets-cravings. I haven't tried it b/c I've done pretty well with cravings, and when I want something sweet I eat a yoplait (mmmm,,,, boston creme pie!!) or Skinny Cow ice creams.

Its all about lifestyle change, not deprivation. Women seem to be natural drawn to chocolate, but if you make good choices about it, and watch portions, you can have your chocolate!

Don't regret the cake, your blog about your birthday was so great! Just remember how you felt that day, how you didn't make it and still had a great day! You would have regretted making it more, and it could have been what threw you off your path!

Keep strong! If you need to splurge, then splurge, but don't let it make you feel bad or fall off "the wagon". We all have days we don't want to care about what goes in our mouths!!!! But those are the days and times we need to be careful!

Also read when you are craving something, you take one actual bite, then 2 imaginary bites, where you pretend to bite into it and imagine the taste and texture. It is supposed to help you feel satisfied with less.

I've been reading a lot lately!!! lol

Good luck... I'm here if you need me!!!

oh man, group projects are a pain in the arse. i've yet to participate in one that has an equal distribution of workload. hope yours goes a little smoother.

what about buying some pocket warmers or a usb cup heater so you always have a hot drink at hand? xx
