Cloudy and windy today

Tuesday, October 04, 2011

When I let the dogs out this am I actually had to go put on a light weight jacket. Even the Sparrows were puffed up.

The Sparrows are so hard to photograph. Shy as can be. I have to stand in one spot forever, and move the camera real slow. Even then, some of the birds fly off.

First bird I heard though was a Mockingbird in our pine tree. It even imitated the Western Scrub Jay. Mockingbirds are so interesting. It was just singing away.

More roses

This vine is growing over, and through my freind's fence. It flower is real pretty, but chokes the roses.

This shot was an experiment. The sun was shinning through the pedal, and it looked real nice. I didn't quite capture what I wanted, but it's still pretty.

Not sure what tomorrow will bring, we might get rain.

Gorgeous pictures, as usual. Can you believe how cold it's been these last few days! And isn't it wonderful!

Enjoy the roses while you can as well as all the blooming plants. In our area they will be done when we get a freeze and I miss looking out the window and seeing them.

Beautiful pictures, love the violets. Be careful with the violets, once they start growing, it's hard to stop them and they can take over anywhere in the area.
