Fall 2011 Update

Well, I am 10 months into my healthy lifestyle and I must say that Spark People has changed my life for the better. I'm not sure I would be as successful as I have been if I didn't Spark faithfully for the past 10 months. I have met some WONDERFUL people on SP and they have given me such support and hope.
I started this journey in late January of this year to help me in the Biggest Loser competition I do at my job. I wanted to cry when the school nurse weighed me and I saw that I weighed 209 lbs. I barely fit in my clothes and refused to buy a bigger size (than a 12). This was my breaking point. I needed to lose weight, to feel better about myself, gain the energy I once had, and most importantly get back into my jeans and out of those damn yoga pants!! ;)
Now in early October, I am currently 157, in a size 7/8 and still tracking and exercising religiously. I promised myself this would be a lifestyle change and that I will not break. I am currently doing Jamie Eason's 12 week Live Fit program with MissyStar1980 and the ST is intense! I love it! And I love that Missy keeps me on my toes too! Although, I am not following the clean eating portion exactly, I am feeling stronger and starting to get the definition I have always wanted. I still try to run and once Cardio is incorporated back into the workouts in Phase II, I will make it a goal to run more often. (Although, I can still run a 10 min mile...HOLLLLA!)
Many people have asked me for advice, and if there is one thing I think is the most important, it's tracking calories and not giving up. Everyone has a bad meal, hell sometimes we have a crappy day altogether. Just know that tomorrow is a new day and get back on track!
