This weekend I participated in the rent-a-baby program. I watched my nieces and nephews for a total of 5 kids converging on my house all at once. They range in ages from 10 years to 4 months. So, needless to say it was almost impossible to stick to my workout routine. There were constant requests for hot dogs and chicken nuggets. When there is a new born screaming in the background, a potty-training 2 year old you have to constantly run to the bathroom, and a 10, 8, and 4 year old you have to play referee to, there is no way to plan nutritious meals or get on the treadmill. I have a new found respect for those moms who are fighting to achieve their weight loss goals and still hold down the family. God bless you ladies. I obviously need some practice in the family\self\school juggling act. Again, God bless you ladies. Virtual hugs to all of you! emoticon

Now my house is back to a state of normalcy and peace, and it is time to get back into the swing of things. But, old habit die hard. After not exercising and eating breaded pressed chicken products for several days I was totally unmotivated. I had to get into the "Just Do It" state of mind and get off my butt. Super glad I did because I ended up exceeding my workout goal. I am still behind on my schedule for my 5K walking schedule but I am at least back on track. May have to forfeit my resting days. Plus, its almost weigh-in day. I'll share the news, good or bad, on the 8th.

    thanks love and yes it is hard sometimes what with the kids left overs stress levels etc but it is also doable involve the kids with you in exercises use the baby like a weight hold him or her under the arms stand with legy apart and swing the baby up in the air as you stand up ahnd swing down between your legs as you go into the squat.or alternatively sit on the edge of the bed and lean back on your back hold baby between your arms and lift up and down like referse pressups making wee noises and smiling you will see you will gert your exercise and the baby will have fun too.with the older kids you can get them to use their excess energy to play tag,football etc with you playing along.you could do running,skipping,jumping competitions between them.go on long walks or bike rides or swimming tohgether or take them all to the playpark on nice weather.and just think orall the extra calories you burnt running to and through to the toilet with the one potty training.at the end of the day when you have them all nice and tired by all the daily activities you can then relax a bit before getting your work out in if you still need too.re food kids like making their own pizzas etc which can also be made healthily.just use your imagination abit.you will be fine after all practise makes perfect.
