This weekend I participated in the rent-a-baby program. I watched my nieces and nephews for a total of 5 kids converging on my house all at once. They range in ages from 10 years to 4 months. So, needless to say it was almost impossible to stick to my workout routine. There were constant requests for hot dogs and chicken nuggets. When there is a new born screaming in the background, a potty-training 2 year old you have to constantly run to the bathroom, and a 10, 8, and 4 year old you have to play referee to, there is no way to plan nutritious meals or get on the treadmill. I have a new found respect for those moms who are fighting to achieve their weight loss goals and still hold down the family. God bless you ladies. Now my house is back to a state of normalcy and peace, and it is time to get back into the swing of things. But, old habit die hard. After not exercising and eating breaded pressed chicken products for several days I was totally unmotivated. I had to get into the "Just Do It" state of mind and get off my butt. Super glad I did because I ended up exceeding my workout goal. I am still behind on my schedule for my 5K walking schedule but I am at least back on track. May have to forfeit my resting days. Plus, its almost weigh-in day. I'll share the news, good or bad, on the 8th.
