What's in My Closet

Tuesday, October 04, 2011

Every Sunday I go through this when trying to find something nice to wear to church. I try on 3 or 4 outfits and wind up wearing my biggest, baggiest dress to hide the fat. It's time to get real. I have a closet full of nice clothes I either can't wear or when I look in the mirror I say to myself, "That's Not Me!". Today I'm going to clean out my closet and give away the things I haven't been able to wear for a few years. And I'm going to do what I know how to do--eat healthy. One day at a time.

I'm turning 62 and I know that people don't pay attention to what I wear. I know that I find lots of clothes at yard sales as people buy them and then don't wear them, etc. I get things at Thrift Shops. Amazing what people give away. One woman told me "Well, I have to clean out my closet so I have room to buy more." Guess so, but I don't care about clothes at this stage in my life. Get rid of those clothes you aren't going to wear as some person needs them!!!

GINNYK...you are me to the "T"! I will be 60 next year. I started on WW at about the same weight as you. I was on WW on-line and losing but kept hearing about this FREE SP thing from other WW'ers. I checked it out and thought...if this great stuff is free, why am I paying $20/mn.?

Anyway, I'm down to 156 (went up a couple of lbs. after big wedding weekend...then the stress of losing our furry family member of 18 yrs.). I have been here since March and am a "frequent flyer" on SP Message Boards. The support here is wonderful, the people are great, and the recipes are becoming family favorites.

emoticon and hope to see/hear more from you soon!
