Accept or Change?

Sunday, October 02, 2011

The title of this blog is my choice now. I have lost about 40 lbs VERY slowly. Now I have a few more pounds to go which are proving to be reluctant to leave me.
So can I accept myself as I am ?
I do eat very healthily, low fat, I seldom go over my calorie allowance. I do what exercise I can. I know this way of life is permanent for me .
I have not ate processed food, sweet stuff and so on for years. There's no one big change I can make to get things moving again.
So I ask again, Can I accept myself as i am? Or do I look at everything I do and see if there are any tiny changes I can do. It has to be my decision but any advice welcome.

I believe we are always changing either for the good or bad nothing stay the same. But that don;t mean you can;t accept where you are at.

I think sometimes we are at a standstill with no fault of our own. If we keep doing our best eventually it will be the goal we are looking for. Good luck on your lifestyle journey. We are all in this together. Thanks for the blog. emoticon

Hi there, my advice is fine tune what you know works by writing down what you actually do rather than what you think you are doing. There is a difference - I have never met anyone who couldn't lose 2 lbs and you have already did this on many occasions to lose 40lb.

You can reach whatever goals you set in regards to weight loss and exercise because they are processes and not events. The main point is that "you" are OK and that carrying excess fat is due to miscalculating food / drink allowances - it is not a disease. There is nothing wrong with us - we are designed to eat - like tastes etc.

The choice is do you listen to a voice in our heads that is motivating or toxic? Choose miss or mr motivator and reach your goals...

Have a beautiful weekend - and hope this helped - Mark
