For those that dont like the HCG diet plan and my personal choice:

So I know there are ton of HCG haters here. Please, before you post your comments please read my response to them:
"I have done my research, I know the risk, I know what the SparksPeople experts say, and I tend to agree with them. I come from a family of health professionals, I have seen doctors, I live a healthy lifestyle, and have lost 20 pounds in the past doing SparksPeople. But the facts are these: I am not even 20 yet, and I can not get rid of this weight. I have tried everything, and this January, I am due to have a breast reduction surgery because the weigh of my breasts alone is causing normal life to be impossible. I HATE the thought of surgery, so I am doing everything in my power to make that not necessary. This has been suggested to me by a doctor, by friends who have done it, as well as warned by others not to do it. I am going to give it a shot, and if doesnt work, at the first sign of it damaging my body, I will become one of those naysayers, and I will reference people to my record of an attempt. But if it works, which I can see for myself that is has for some, then I will have avoided a major surgery so young in my life, and will be living better because if it."
So HCG haters, if this explanation still does not satisfy you, please PM me, I would be happy to discuss this choice I have made privately, but if you comment the same things over and over again, I will just ignore it, and if it gets abusive I will delete it.
Please note, that I do although appreciate the concern, and thank you for looking out for me.

Hi. I too am a former athlete doing HCG. Lost 40 lbs on it last year but I allowed life & stress to put it back on, so I'm doing the protocol again. Down 4 lbs in 4 days. I also had a breast reduction. Went from H cup to large C cup. Best thing I ever did, second to having my baby girl :) Please look up herbs to take prior to having the reduction done. I found lots of information on breast health online ( I think that was the forum. Sorry it's been almost 3 years). I took bromelin & arnica during my recovery time. Recover was smooth sailing. Only required pain meds overnight & the first day home. Took one the next day cause I was afraid it was too good to be true but had nothing after day 3. Was driving by day 6, with doctor's approval. Didn't hear about bromelain & Arnica until a couple of days prior to my surgery but it was suggested to begin them a few weeks before surgery. I healed amazingly. My scars are almost invisible. My twins haven't looked this good since college! If you have any questions re the reduction, please feel free to ask. Good luck with everything! PS buy a couple of snap front scrub tops from your local wally world. They will come in handy as you won't be able to lift your arms for a few weeks, so dressing will be challenging. Plus, they are designed to repel blood & other bodily fluids.

People have to do what works for them. I was going to start the HCG diet as well. I found the 17 day diet is working right now. I did find out from my doctor that is you use HCG don't buy it online. they can be dangerous. Hopefully you are getting it from your doctor. Good luck with your weight loss!! :)

Well said! I do however hope that you are using quality HCG. A big worry of mine is people using crappy HCG and then failing and giving the diet a bad name. . . .

Just because something has been stated as the recommend (aka 1200 calorie diet for women) doesn't mean it will work for YOU. People have to realize that. Some of the concern people against hCG are nothing more than CYBERBULLIES.
Stick to your guns. Do what you feel is right for you. You have supporters out there even in those that are against hCG because they have respect for you as an adult to make the best choice for yourself. Don't let a few CYBERBULLIES ever get you down even if you decide not to stick with hCG or have great success with hCG.

Good for you. This is a wonderful statement. I, too, understand the frustration and disappointment you have experienced and respect your decision. I just wish other would do the same. It's great to have their opinion registered. However, the best way to do these things is to register your opinion and still be a support to that person no matter whether you like it or not. The constant harassment (which is what it does boil down to be) is ridiculous. This goes the same in life. I have had friends and loved ones do things that I don't necessarily agree with. However, it's their choice. I respect him or her for who they are and what it is that they decide to do. I register my opinion but also make it a point to let them know that I wish them the best and truly hope they find what it is that they are looking for. Lastly, they KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt that although I do not agree with their method of choice, I will ALWAYS be there for them no matter what. You have to leave that door open to allow people to come to you when needed. Constantly beating them upside the head for making a decision about THEIR life that doesn't go along with YOUR goals or ideals is just . . . EXHAUSTING.
Again, Gabriella. You have a FRIEND in me. Good luck with your journey. I wish you the best.

Yes, Diedre11, I have tried a lot of clean eating plans. I used to be an anthlete, had someone even in charge of my meals, I worked out everyday in the pools 4-5 hours, and some how, as soon as puberty hit, the weight just kept coming no matter what. Last year I did some very heavy working out, and restricted my calories to 1000 a day, and I lost 20lbs, but then I hit a stall I have not been able to get over to save my life.
And if you are worried about the money I spent, it was $20 on amazon, not a big deal.

First of all, you have my best wishes in your desire to lose weight and avoid surgery. I just don't want to see you harm yourself in the process.
The thing I hate is the way certain businesses make big money by convincing people to take unnecessary risks with their health by following scam diets like HCG.
The thing I hate even more are so-called doctors that promote these dangerous and fraudulent approaches to weight loss because they see is as a way to make fast money.
Have you tried any of the clean eating plans that take all the processed food out of your diet, but allow you to consume at least the recommended 1,200 calories a day? That seems to work for quite a few people.
