Painting For Exercise

Friday, September 30, 2011

Can you visualize painting a house for exercise? For the past 4 days I have been putting in an average of 5 hours each day painting. This calculates to: 4 days (300 min X 8 Cal per min) /3500 cal. per pound = 2.74 pounds lost.
I have a renewed respect for people who paint for a living. Most all painters I know are slim and look fit. For the past 4 days I have been dragging myself home and putting myself to bed early! I have been sore for the past 4 days and I am not done yet! I still have the inside of the house to paint.
So now that I have finished my Blog it is time to go PAINT emoticon emoticon

It is a good way to loose weight. I will try to paint my son's room with paint by number kits. I must paint some picture for him and he will takes part in this job.

I know what you mean! When we remodeled our house a few years ago (interior painting, ripping up carpets, laying new flooring in the kitchen, refinishing hardwood floors, etc plus exterior work as well) I lost about 10 pounds in the 2 months we worked on it.

Painting is hard work! Way to go!

I saw that on your status and thought 'woohoo' but had no idea how hard you were working! That's amazing! I know what you mean about slim and trim house painters LOL Maybe I need to switch professions? Hmmm...
    Keep up the good work!
