This week I traveled for a pastors' conferece for my church and stayed in a hotel. I did fairly well for eating--staying close to my calorie limit, albeit going over. It's hard to make healthy choices when the meals are planned for you. But, as I learned this week, not impossible. They can set out a meal and I still decide what I eat and how much. For example, one day the lunch was sandwiches--I took one piece of bread and made half a sandwich, and I took extra lettuce and tomato slices and made a side salad.
I also went to a Brazilian grill for dinner on our free night. Servers were constantly bringing around the unlimited meats. It was so good. Anyway, I feel very proud of myself for not overeating. Several of my friends were groaning and complaining that they were stuffed. I felt just right.
And, my favorite accomplishment--I worked out in the fitness center every morning. One morning following my 5K training and the other two doing a cross-training cardio.
Now, if only I can keep up a habit of waking up early every day, that would be excellent.
I weigh in tomorrow morning and I think I will do well.
