My aching legs...

Well, I got a rejection e-mail for the job which was kind of a bummer, followed immediately by a gushing e-mail about my last clown performance from the client. Was nice to get the positive after the negative. I think I need to change my resume and remove dates from it, like college graduation date!

My knees are killing me, and my legs as well now. Went to the Dr. for a physical and the good news is after one year of sleeping with the CPAP my blood sugar is down around normal, down 10 points. The rest of the blood work was normal as well, except for my cholesterol which is high. I totally understand why.

I need to go to a specialist for my knees, she says they won't get better on their own. All from one bike ride~I am heading back to the pool this morning, and will concentrate on swimming with just my arms and some water walking. I can't believe how much they hurt.

Getting up with my hubby at 5:30 AM is really messing with me, I slept all afternoon yesterday. I missed a lot of calls and it just throws me off kilter. Still need to figure out a schedule that works for me.

Was totally excited about the Dr. Oz contest, got my physical, then proceeded to eat everything in sight the next day. My doctor is so frustrated with me, she says "why can't you just eat food that is good for you, but less of it?' I wish it were that easy. Focusing too much on what you can't have makes you ignore what you should have...deprivation leads to binging on all the wrong stuff. Stress and lack of sleep lead to poor choices. So, I am trying to get more sleep. Should build in little treats, and try to eliminate some of my stress.

Still working on the house, which is more difficult with my leg issues. I am trying to focus on one room a day. I also need to pay bills and go through paperwork to find the title for my stolen van.

Going to read some of your blogs, searching for inspiration.

    What works for me, is not so much cutting everything I love out right away, but adding fruits and veggies to every meal, which makes me feel fuller and I eat less of the other stuff, drinking only water. Little steps. Then after awhile you can start cutting out the things that you know are not good for you.....then a couple of times a week if you are a meat eater, switch it for chicken or fish. Pretty soon you will be eating more healthy then not and your body will thank you for it. The fruits and veggies also contain natural ways to help with the pain for your body and help to heal it......

    Thats great you have found a way to exercise despite your pain. emoticon

    Steady and slow wins the race.....( something like that ) :)
