Has it really been more than a YEAR since my last blog post? My granddaughter is now take taking her first steps and I haven't blogged since she was born. A lot has happened since then - We've been traveling or having company at least every few months or so in an effort to see BabyKates more often, and I've kept pretty busy with my art business but not SO busy to excuse a year-long silence!
I'm still struggling to re-make the changes that lead to successful weight loss, gained strength and happiness back in 2008. I now realize part of my falling off the wagon, so to speak, was that I was so discouraged by the year+ plateau that I stopped visiting with Sparkers and I'm certain the final straw that took me from maintaining to gaining weight back was that I stopped logging and measuring my food and water intake. I was just really burned out on it all and without regular check-ins with Spark-friends, my "break" quickly became a way of life again.
I came across this quote on the SINGLE DAD LAUGHING blog today and thought it was a great one to share here too...
“The thing that is really hard, and really amazing, is giving up on being perfect and beginning the work of becoming yourself.” ~Anna Quindlen
