Hoping to turn things around

Wednesday, September 28, 2011

We played our season opening concert last night, Lizt - Les Preludes, Rutter - Suite Antique for flute, Schubert - Unfinished Symphony, and Tchaikovsky - Waltz from Eugene Onegin. Between preparing for the concert, attempting mega holiday baking (I'm sticking to simple things because some stuff went straight to the garbage), and themes of rejection, I've noticed that I haven't insisted on exercise and I'm feeling it. I don't like it. I've moved past frustration and I'm hoping to turn it around today.

It's holiday time and I've taken time off. I'm behind on pretty much everything, but that's not overwhelming me now, though it was last week. I'm going to nibble away and do 10 minutes here and there.

I have rehearsal today, cleaning, maybe more baking ---ooops, see the list, let me rephrase that -- workout today, rehearsal, cleaning, baking ---I'm working on it, shaking up the order of priority. So, this is how I want to start my new year (L'Shana Tova!) - with putting my fitness and health as a priority, so that all the other ways to give and be can follow.

Your music selection was beautiful. I'm proud of you for recognizing you need to fit "you" time in no matter how busy you are. Wonderful we continue to move forward.

Many Blessings (L'Shana Tova!). If I've used this incorrectly, please feel free to guide me . I want to show appreciation & respect for your holy holiday of Rosh Hashanah.

Good for you for reassessing your priorities--it's so hard to get everything done sometimes, if not impossible! As my BFF reminds me, the flight attendants tell you to put on your oxygen mask first before assisting others--they do that for a reason. You have to take care of yourself first before you can really take care of anyone else.

It helps me to do my exercise first thing in the morning then it's done and I have the day ahead of me for chores and such. Plus the routine of starting the same time everyday gets me going.

Oh la la, what a crazy busy time! Take good care of yourself -- I think your aim should just be to get through it as little exhausted as possible, and to reassess afterwards! Thinking of you - and wishing you Happy New Year!

sounds like you definitely have a lot on your plate my friend. try to cut yourself some slack though! if you don't get all the baking done, c'est la vie, there is always the store, right emoticon ...you need to remember you are a priority, and your mental well being is more important than a clean bathroom emoticon ....you can do this my friend!!
