Another reason to get healthy.

Tuesday, September 27, 2011

Okay, this news is not new nor is it headliner. But maybe it should be.

Mothers who are obese are 10 percent more likely to have overweight daughters and fathers are 6 percent more likely to have obese sons.

I do not want to be the reason my kids become fat. I missed out on the chance to show them while they were young. I hope I can be an example, and motivate them to stay active and healthy.

I sometimes wish I could have a "do over", but hopefully it is not too late for my children. And hopefully they will pass it onto their children.

This rant was initiated by an article I read in the Dr.'s office today. WebMD; Women and Obesity Trends: What's the Link?
