I have started COMPLETELY over/from the beginning!!!
I realize I am not physically in shape to jump right into another half marathon training program!! It kinda sucks, but it is the smart thing to do!!
My last time to exercise on a regular basis was spring of 2010!! I was plagued with RECURRENT plantar fascitis. I did every possible treatment!! The podiatrist that was treating me felt due to me being a RN, never sitting and working 12 hr shifts standing was just keeping my from healing even after $350 custom orthotics, meds and maxed out on cortisone shots!! I decided to stop trying to run and just walk. I was already registered for the Rock n Roll Seattle half marathon, so I walked the entire thing at a 16 min pace. I was hurting after that and just stopped walking/running all together. In Oct 2010 I found out I was pregnant with our first child:), I was also at my heaviest weight!!!
Fast forward to Sept 2011, NO, I CAN'T JUST JUMP INTO ANOTHER HALF TRAINING PROGRAM!!!
Today, I started the Jeff Galloway5k iphone app and LOVE it.
Yes, it was a 10 minute run/walk with 3 min warm up and 3 min cool down!!
Gulp, that's where I am at!!! I will accept where I am and be better than before!!
