As you can see, I organized my accomplishments into the same 4 categories that the Sparkpeople articles are organized. I had to find some way to organize them or I'd lose you!
NUTRITION
I have...
...drunk 8 cups of water for 4 days now! Yuck! To be honest, I have been feeling more quenched, and my skin hasn't gotten as dry.
...tracked nutrition more consistantly. I've been working on it for about 5 weeks. Of course there are some days here in there that I don't track, but at least I'm actually tracking now!
...listed meals I can have at my favorite restaurants that were with my calorie range. Some of my favorite foods had to be cut in half or more, and be saved for another meal. And, this is very important: I keep this list in my purse.
FITNESS
I have...
...done cardio exercises 5 times a week for 5, listen, 5 weeks! This is a major achievement for me, even if most of the minutes were from walking.
...tracked my steps for almost 3 weeks. More specifically, I have tracked for 3 weeks with the exception of 1 day. Most of the results aren't pretty. Ideally, I'd like to have up to 10,000 steps a day, but this is definitely a start.
...almost caught up to all my strength training workouts. Yes, I skipped quite a few workouts, however, each one is only 7-10 minutes long. My streak so far is 11 weeks though! That's nothing to be ashamed of!
WELLNESS
I have...
...lost 5 lbs. Self-explanatory.
...been feeling more energized! This is much more important than being skinnier. The fact that I don't feel groggy and need a nap all the time is awesome! I can get more things done because of all the exercising I've been doing!
...been logging in my weight and measurements for about 9 weeks. And get this, one of my future blogs will have the pictures taken of my feet on the scale at each of those times. You'll be able to see my ups and downs through the trail of pictures! This will happen when I get to my ideal weight.
...logged onto Sparkpeople for 45 days in a row. WooHoo!
...gotten a job. This has made me a lot less stressed out, and I'm not cooped up in the house nearly 24/7.
...taken a trip to Massachusetts. We got to meet my husband's parents and take a little vacation. Seriously, what part of that sentence is not fun?
...finished sewing up my scaley-looking shirt. I know what you're thinking, "What does this have to do with your wellness?" It was too big, the shirt looks cool, I wanted to wear it, it was a goal, goal accomplished. Nuff said.
...completed my résumé. I was really happy when it was over. Unfortunately, things change, so I have a goal to update it now. But it's okay, goals are fun.
...become a better mom. I have done a few things differently:
1) I feed Lita and Dusty an egg each or other foods daily. Eating only dry dog food can't be too healthy.
2) I feed Natasha 1/4 can of wet cat food 2 times a day. Again, eating only dry cat food can't be too healthy. Why don't I feed her people food like Lita and Dusty? Because she is extremely picky. The only reliable option is fish, but we don't always have that on-hand. Hey! I'm still working on it!
3) I just started walking Lita and Dusty 5 times a week around the block.
4) I have been taking Lita with me on my walks via stroller. How does this help her if she's not getting exercise from it? She enjoys it. Period.
5) I have been more consistantly feeding Irvine salads. Pellets aren't suppose to be a green iguanas main source of food. That can most likely be said of any animal.
...been keeping up with housecleaning and yardwork more. Personally, I think yardwork is less tedious, but both have to be done! The end result is what keeps me motivated!
...sold a few things we didn't want in our yard sale. No, it wasn't as successful as we had hoped, but we sold a few things plus the couch and television. So, that was good.
MOTIVATION
I have...
...posted printouts of my current challenges. This really helps me stay on track, and brings out the competitive nature in me. It's just so fun! Really, it's pretty much the same challenge, just in two different teams I'm in. Whoever loses the most percentage of weight gets a $60 GameStop gift card in one, and Dance Central 2 in the other.
...started schedule-making again. How am I getting anywhere if I don't schedule in small steps to reach my goals? Exactly.
...started talking more to other sparkers. They have been so motivating! Why haven't I been more involved in the sparkpeople community before?!
