I think you will do fine on your cruise because you are bringing your wonderful attitude with you. I will be anxious to read the blog you write AFTER your cruise. We will want to hear all about the ways you found to incorporate exercise, and navigate those dangerous buffets. Enjoy!!!! emoticon

Liz congratulations on your wedding anniversary. I have never been on a cruise but my daughter has and you will do a lot of walking which may make up for a treat now and then.
The one thing my daughter said was that if they come around and ask you to sign up for something special....do it then because later was too late. I do not recall what it was but just in case....sign up when they ask. I hope you have a fabulous time. June emoticon

Many congratulations on your 65th anniversary! Wishing you a wonderful time.
I've never been on a cruise but I did spend 2 weeks in France trying to exercise damage limitation. I tracked every delightful morsel & made sure that everything I chose was in some way healthy even if a bit naughty!(the exception to this was the wine emoticon )
Inevitably I put on a few pounds but I can honestly say that I enjoyed every one!! I have since lost most of my weight gain without too much trouble as SP has helped me to keep motivated.
I hope you have the most amazing time....will we get to see some pics?

Cruises can be lots of fun, but beware the opportunities to over indulge.
Try to make good choices, but do try new things. As stated by Elisel, take
advantage of the gym, or just take brisk walks on the deck. The tip about
water is good. You are usually charged for all beverages while on board.
You can bring water with you, but that can be a bit cumbersome.

The main thing is to have lots of fun.

One thing that I noticed on our cruise is that water wasn't readily available unless you pay for it...bottled water. I don't know if your cruise will do this (we went on Norwegian) but the first day you can buy a case of bottled water at a discount. If you can, do this so you will not have to worry about paying for water throughout the cruise. And you can have them remove the stuff in your fridge...the mini bar that you don't want to spend the money on anyway and keep your water in there.

Also, there should be a small gym on your ship. I think all of them have one and ours even had a walking/running track. It's easy to ignore these, but just a 30 minute walk will keep you going.

We also signed up for several shore excursions that involved a lot of walking instead of driving around. They were great fun and we got exercise.

But most of all, have fun! Cruises are great. They make you feel like you're royalty.

I don't have any tips since I've never been on a cruise, but I hope you have a fantastic time. 65 years? That's amazing!
