This week I focused on exercise. It was an incredibly busy week so I didn't have a lot of time to think about new exercises to try. I did however work in an hour of Sweatin to the Oldies with Richard Simmons. That's a great aerobic exercise and lots of fun. I also was in a 3-1/2 mile parade. Our church handed out cold water to bystanders so that added in a lot of running back and forth and catching up with the float so there was some good variety there. I also did more strength this week than I typically have been.
Two benefits other than the knowledge that I did good things for my body:
It felt good. When I added strength exercise to my day I could feel it the next day but it felt good.
Because it was such a busy week, I think the exercise helped me overall deal with the stress of the week.
I read Diane's blog before I wrote mine and I liked her idea of planning ahead her week's exercise activities. I leave on vacation for 10 days this Thursday. However, when we get back I want to be prepared to do the same. Thanks for the inspiration, Diane.
