Starting off the morning with a nice NSV..wearing a size 12 for the first time in over a decade!!!!!!!!!!! yipppeeeeee! Not consistently in 12s but 14s are consistently loose on me. Not long now until 14s are a thing of the past. Which just goes to show you that the scale doesnt mean everything. I have only lost about 5 lbs since starting c25k and signing on on sparkpeople.. but my clothes tell the story. I do know that I need to buckle down on my eating for long term success but things are going in the right direction.
Couch to 5k.. I am beginning week 9 today and my first race (that I will RUN) is next Sunday the 25th. I am so proud of myself. I could barely jog 60seconds straight 2 months ago.. and now I am going out there and running (avg 12min miles, slow, but....) three miles at a time. Even if I hadn't lost a pound, or changed a dress size or anything I am satisfied that I have improved my fitness level. I haven't been able to jog a mile since high school (almost 20 years since graduating!!) and I have NEVER been able to go 3. This is a huge deal. I have wanted to complete this program for a long time now..and finally I am about to do it. This time I didn't quit. I made it!! Yay!!! :)
