Energy and self-control

Thursday, September 15, 2011

"Energy is the fuel for self-control. We each have one reservoir of energy to get things done. Each act that requires self-control progressively depletes this energy reservoir, whether it's when you use it to resist a piece of cake, or focus single-mindedly on a difficult problem, or stay calm when you feel provoked."

This is a citation of Tony Schwartz from the HBR-blogs-network, author of "Be Excellent at Anything" and founder of an "energy-project"

Interesting thesis.
I think about the energy-saving way of selfcontrol and getting in shape for a few month now.
There must be a way to get all this stuff under one big comfort hat.
