Life has been a whirlwind lately. Mostly of good things.
Work is going amazingly well! Big exciting things are going on for our team and I'm stoked! I was worried about having 8 temps reporting to me but it's pretty awesome! I'm getting so much done!
Zumba is becoming even more awesome by the day. The classes at the Y were dangerously small for a while there (5-7 people at a time? that's un heard of!). BUT classes have been getting bigger each time I teach and I've been getting some really good feedback from people. I'm also starting to notice a number of repeat people in my classes. Classes at the studio are awesome as always and S and I have been having an awesome time playing with each other during class and trying new things to keep it fresh.
Last night I taught a full hour of Zumba at the Y and then took S's class at the studio and she and I had a ball playing against one another with some of our songs - James Bonde, Pegate, Burlesque, and our cool down du jour Wobble. I was EXHAUSTED by the end of it but after the crappy way my day started out yesterday it was a much needed 2 hours of delicious sweaty fun!
I'm also really excited that I'm taking a full weekend away this weekend! Friday after work M2 and I will be driving to Charleston SC to meet up with M1. M1 will be doing thesis research while M2 and I go to the Highland Games! That means no Zumba Saturday or Sunday! I think my knees will appreciate that as will my hips. I've been rough on my body lately. I may try to see an ortho doc in the next few months if the supplements don't keep making progress in keeping my joints happy. I know that will get less severe as I lose more weight but right now it's worrisome that I limp the first hour or two of my day... every day. :(
I also got hit with a sinus/upper respiratory flu this past weekend. At work on Friday I was fine until mid-afternoon when I got a nasty headache and then when I woke up Saturday it was like my head will filled with rocks and snot. I took a 3.5 hour nap in the middle of the day Saturday (after teaching an hour of Zumba!) and suffered through the weekend but by Monday I was feeling a ton better. It was no fun at all! I was very upset with it all.
Overall life is good though. I love my job. Zumba is keeping me active and happy. Life at home is going well. I can't complain.
I miss having the time to be on spark every day but that happens from time to time. I'll do my best to keep in touch!
