That's a question I heard as I was walking back from an errand at school. "Who doesn't like children???" One student was asking another, in a big crowd. I said, "Well, there are some people who don't like children very much." The kid looked at me and said, "What's WRONG with someone like that???" I had to laugh, he was just so incredulous - I guess he's never encountered anyone who doesn't like kids! Which speaks well for our school, I'm hoping!
Then there was the girl in my class who looked at the drawing I was doing (I always do an example of the class project, to demonstrate how to do it, so I can draw on my own work instead of the students') - we're enlarging using a grid - and she said, "Ms. Schwartz, you've done a very nice job." I thanked her. She patted me on the shoulder, and said, "I think you've earned an A+."
They just crack me up, they're so innocently funny!
