Workout, Food, Photographer Update

Tuesday, September 13, 2011

Well, we made it through another Monday!

Unfortunately, my stomach was miserable all day. Boo hoo! So far so good today so let's hope it stays that way!

My obliques were sore all day from the Uh Oh Obliques Pilates workout I did on Sunday. It was a great kind of sore! Give it a try, it's awesome!

I really like Cassey Ho, who is the instructor of the videos.

A little recap from yesterday:

Brian's pot roast for lunch, yum yum!

For my workout last night I did 10 lb slimdown xtreme upper body. Loved it! I really like Chris Freytag, too. Chris and Cassey are my current faves!

So now I've done the total body and upper body xtreme workouts, now I have to do lower, core, and yoga! Excited to try them out!

After working upper body, Brian and I took a walk around the neighborhood. I love when he agrees to go with me, he's been better at saying yes but over the weekend he kept saying no so I'm glad he agreed to last night.

Then I made ground turkey and veggies for dinner:

As you can probably tell, I've been eating the same things over and over again. I have to be more experimental...I really need to try some of IAMZBEE's delicious looking recipes! :)

After watching a couple shows, I made my egg muffins for the week:

Typical Monday!

Tina asked for a photographer update on yesterday's blog. I called Customer Service on Friday, got my RANT on, and the guy was very nice. He told me to put my complaint in writing and email it to them. They will then open an investigation and a "photography coach" will go through all the pictures with our photographer to see if the pictures are up to par or not. I also said that I was surprised we only got 350 pictures for 6 hours of photography and he said they don't put every picture on the website, only the best ones. We can buy the outtakes for $100. Isn't that such a rip off?? They should give you all the pictures. How can they charge you more for pictures that should be yours already? I didnt say any of that because before I even had a chance to react, he said he would send the outtakes to me for free. I sent my 2 1/2 page rant, a long with my mom's letter of complain, to customer service yesterday. I'll definitely let you know what the result is! I did get an email from them yesterday saying:

Hi Lena and Brian,

We thought you'd like to know that your 8x12 prints from the "Your Story" folder are now on their way to you. We shipped the prints via Federal Express Ground service.....

We didn't order any 8x12 prints and there are 50 photos in the "Your Story" folder....are they really sending us 50 8x12's?? I have no idea why they would do that! That was not a part of our package. And when I told Brian, he was like, Wouldn't we pick the pictures we want printed? So I have no idea why they are sending us all those prints. I just looked up the tracking information and it says it's 3 lbs and we'll be receiving the package on Thursday. What the heck are we going to do with 50 8x12's? I'm going to email them and see what the dealio is and make sure they send us the CD of the outtake pictures like they said they would.

Needless to say, this has been such a frustrating experience!!

Alright, enough griping! Make it a great Tuesday, Sparkies!

Hope your stomach is still feeling better and that you get some decent results on the photos. What a bummer.

I had a similar experience with a photographer when I was in high school for my senior pics. They only gave me a small amount of photos from one spot and said the others didnt look good and I had to pay 150 for ALL the proofs. Awful experience. I feel your pain and I am wishing you the best of luck.

Did you see the egg muffins in the new Oxygen mag? They look yummy too. I made the Cocoa Before Cardio granola bars, but didnt use the espresso beans, because I'm not a coffee person. Just used some mini dark choc chips and they are yummy! Mini me already asked when I put her to bed, if she could have one for breakfast when she wakes up :) (She had a sample earlier)
Funny you said you should try new foods, because I was wondering if you buy that southwest veggie mix in bulk or just what, I see a lot of corn, peppers and beans in your food (it always looks delish, just saying).
Hope they photographer makes up for their lameness....let us know what's in the package when it arrives. Happy Wednesday!

Ah, the saga continues. It's going to be interesting to see how all of this works out. I trust that your friends have probably already sent you better pics than the photographer did!

Hope your tummy is better too. Can't imagine living with the food issues that you do. Your food always looks amazing!

Your good looks great. What do you put in your breakfast muffins? My hubby isn't into exercising, but iwll for a family walk sometimes. If he does a walk though he needs to do like a 4 mile minimum in his mind. ha. We probably get about 4 a year. I miss them when we did them more often. Glad he finally said yes.
I get into a rut too with my cooking and just tried some great recipes. My family loved all of them. I need to be a bit more creative at times and start THNKING about our meals more other than just doing the same.
