As I do my points for the day.... and log my exercises I am mindlessly munching on a snickers bar, now it is only a snack size, not so bad Right? but I look over and realize it is my 2nd one of the morn. I had a good healthy breakfast, I am not hungry. I saw the bowl sitting there and grabbed a handful. I did not even think about it until I was logging my points.
Now I have to wonder just how often do I do this... I suppose this is why I just do not lose any weight...
It is bad to work with so many junk food addicts who keep snacks and candy sitting around (yes I have a bowl of candy too, my hard candy's that I suck on for dry mouth and that helped me to stop smoking)
Maybe I am just wasting my time Sparking .... emoticon emoticon

    This is WHY we are doing spark so we will notice and can then work to change those little habits we aren't even aware of!!

    Just remember you are in control of what you put between your lips. Whenever I find myself craving foods that are high in calories and have no nutrients I tell myself "once on the lips, forever on the hips". At work we have a break room/kitchen that always has something on the table that other have brought in to share. Whenever I feel tempted, I walk to my office, pick up my water bottle and drink at least a cup of water. This ends the craving and I move on.

I wish you the best in ditching the candy and grabbing a carrot stick instead.

    You just have to readjust your thinking. What do you want? You didn't get the way you are overnight. It takes commitment and dedication to get where you want to be. I know you can do it. You took a great first step just blogging about it.
Now it is going to nag at you...like noticing cobwebs. It may take a few days..but you will make those cobwebs disappear.

    You are not waiting your time! Everyone has a time for a lack of will power - have you thought of giving yourself a free day? I take Friday's off - my coworkers and I go out for lunch every Friday so I just take it as a free day. I still watch what I eat to a certain extent but I don't beat myself up for it. Take some time off and don't beat yourself up over a few snickers bar...

    "Maybe I am just wasting my time" does not sound like the confident, funny, smart, and BEAUTIFUL woman I know you to be!

Make sure the candy dishes aren't within site. If that's not possible, make them difficult to get to. If you have to walk 5 steps to get a snickers bar, it's so much easier to ask yourself if it's worth the effort. Crab legs? Yes. Snickers? Not hardly! This is when you give in to your "inner slacker!"
