Stage Two of the Spark Diet- Healthy Habits
In this video I talk about a strategy which is called Control portions.
I want you to know that controlling my portions made a big difference in helping me lose weight & I know for a fact when you control your portions it will make a huge difference as well!
There are a few portion control strategies I have used which helped me maintain portions & keep them under control:
~ When you eat at a restaurant order an appetizer as an entrée or order from the lunch menu at dinner time.
~ Read food labels & try very hard to only eat one serving size of high calorie foods.
~ Drink plenty of water. I drink between 8-10 measure cups of water per day and it helps a lot!
~ Above all pray. Asking God to help me lose weight has helped me more than any exercise, any piece of equipment, & any amount f self-control. Praying and asking God to help me has been the MOST effective & BEST thing I have ever done.
No discipline brings joy, but seems grievous & painful, but afterward it is peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

1) Buy a set of measuring cups and measuring spoons
2) Measure all single serving sizes for the food you eat this week
3) Create a leftover storage system
Pray, trust God, and believe. One step at a time one day at a time!
