Today's Fitness
I did 20 minutes of fitness yesterday (Sept. 8)

Today's Highlights
Today's highlight was some great "natural fitness". I was a little bit late and a little bit lost for a speaking event at a major health care conference where I got to present SparkPeople to some important people in the health care category. So, that meant 20 minutes of jogging/running to make the event on time! I'll take it. I made it and got to share some fun things about SP in front of 200 people as part of a panel.

Afterwards, several people wanted to talk about partnering in some way. Woohoo!

Message: Never Ever Ever Did I Think I would Do Something like This. I know what gave me the courage. SPARKPEOPLE! I can do this 5k on my own... prove to myself I can do it... then I will sign up to with with a LIVE Group.
My Dream is to run. I've never been able to do that. So first I'll walk, then I'll jog walk and then I'll run! The online trackers are helping me to be accountable to my goals and dreams. Once I click on a project I Cannot Unclick it - My Rule!

    Good for you on your fitness minutes the other day and hopefully SparkPeople can pick up some partners.

I am so thankful for the opportunity to share in this adventure with so many other people.

I'm thankful that you took it upon yourself to make SP a place for anybody to come a learn how to get healthy, not just to lose weight, but to learn about healthy living and how to make it happen. I have made so many friends here and even though I may never actually meet most of them, I feel a camaraderie that I have never felt anywhere else.

    I did 4 miles this AM - usually only get at most my minimum one mile on the weekend! Yea for the challenge!

    I danced tonight for 20 minutes after I got home from running errands and dinner. Just because I have a streak going and didn't want to quit. I also did 30/30/30/30 for wall push ups, seated leg lifts, calf raises and squats. I never thought I'd be the one to insist on exercise after a full day at work and errands.

    Congratulations on your talk today and also getting 20 minutes in and continuing your streak.

Today, I did 60 minutes of zumba and walked 9.6 miles. I had started a streak on 7/5/09 of exercising 30 minutes a day, I am up to 797 days.

Our Virtual Walk/Run Challenge team has made a commitment as a team to do the 10 minute fitness challenge.
