Snowflake Stitch How-To

Wednesday, September 07, 2011

This is a video to show how to make the snowflake stitch that I added for the Crochet the Pounds Away Team Afghan (Rows 16 &17). I hope this makes it clearer and easier to understand.

Good Luck
Patty

Great job on the video. :) I loved hearing the budgie in the background too. :) Hugs!

Linda, Glad to help! Sometimes you just need to SEE something to understand it. I'm a visual learner, and there are times that a written description just doesn't help, I need to see how it's done.

Snowglobe, THANK YOU SOOO much!! This was the first video I ever posted, and no I don't have a channel. I've passed your praise on to my daughter, she was my camera person, I told her to focus as tightly on my hands as she could clearly.

Hi Kelly, Happy to motivate you!! Don't worry, by the time you get through with the two rows for the afghan, you'll make it look easy too! I learned this stitch in 1976 when my older sister asked me to figure it out for her. It was the first stitch I learned.

I have not crocheted in years...but guess what you have me motivated to get out the yarn and try this stitch (you make it look very easy). Thank you so much for posting!!!! Kelly

Patty your video tutorial was excellent.
Your directions were clearly demonstrated.
The clarity of the video was perfect so that you could see the stitches perfectly. Your video is better than many of the ones posted to You Tube. If you have a channel demonstrating stitches please let me know. I would love to subscribe.

Thank you for the snowflakes...I'm particularly partial to them.

Thanks, Patty I was doing it wrong, I was holding back the first loop, thinking it was to last one, I like what it looks like, also. Try it and do your pattern, I think it might be possible. Make me think of wagon wheel spokes. So, I will practice in the morning, and get the snowflake, correct. Thanks so much, for making this video.

Linda

Thank you! Maybe you would like to learn?? This is the very first stitch I learned when I was 16. There are many videos on YouTube that could teach you. emoticon

I don't crochet or do crafts, but THANK you for posting this video! I tuned in because it's 105 here and seeing something called "snowflake" anything made my day.

Best of luck with your project!
