Kick Butt Workout!

Today I went to the gym expecting Kristin to show me around the interval machines and go over some finer points on my workout sheet with me.
Not. She had other ideas.
Instead of the machines, she modified every exercise on my sheet to be done with either barbells, fitness ball, or Bosu stand (sp?), and then added a few more exercises for good measure. It was so difficult, I was breathing hard and sweating through, watching my form and trying to remember what she said. One exercise in particular really kicked my butt - or rather, my abs and stamina! It was on my back on the floor mat, holding the fitness ball between my feet and passing it to my hands and then back again - Oooooooooohhh!!! That hurt so much I was just about gasping for air - BUT I did all 10 of them, and both sets - not without a break in between but still, I was proud of myself.
Once we were finished, I went to the treadmill to do my W1D2 rookie runner train, but realized on the first attempt that I wasn't going to be able to jog - my legs felt like rubber. So I backed off, set the walk speed up to 3.5, and just kept walking. I did the whole 20 minutes between 3.3 - 3.6, which is way more than my usual 2.7 - 3.1, so that part was really good. After about 10 minutes of this I tried a little jog again and was able to go for 45 seconds, but after that I settled back into walking and decided that tomorrow will be my W1D2 - IF I can get out of bed in the morning!
