Week 13: Ugh!

So this has been a pretty horrible week for me, got sick on Friday morning and decided to try and sweat it out which worked for a little while but by saturday evening I was just a huge mess! I was incredibly thankful for the holiday weekend thinking that just a few days and I would be back to normal, but here it is Wednesday and I still feel horrible. I did manage to lose 1.5 pounds this week which is great but I also know that without exercise and the way I have been, or not been eating that it's only a matter of time before it starts creeping back up there. Any suggestions on home remedies that work to knock out colds quickly would be greatly appreciated here as it doesn't seem to be going away as quickly as I like. I am going to try and change my eating habits to compensate for the lack of activity because this is completely kicking my butt but other then that I am still here, still pushing, still fighting to beat this!

    when you feel a sicky feeling coming on..take will shorten the cold and make it less severe..for real! ...have you tried hte classic chicken soup?! FEEL BETTER!!!

    I swear by "saline nasal spray" and warm salt water rinses. I dont know if it will cure your cold..but it will help move it along. The next time you feel a cold coming on, I would highly recommend trying to use saline nasal spray often at the first sign of it...It has worked for me EVERYTIME...and my kids who never want to listen to their also see how well it works and they do the same.
"the saline is all natural..its just salt water and wont hurt you...It was recommended by my pediatrician when my kids were babies..." The saline actually flushes any germs from attaching to your sinuses and lungs and washes then away so the bacteria cannot grow.
You also need to drink lots of water.

    Sleep, water, sleep, and more sleep!! I can usually sleep off a cold if given time and queit!

    Oh, and I am SO sorry you're sick. Take care of yourself and drink lots of water!
