Post-op 1 week

Wednesday, September 07, 2011

It has been a week since my surgery and I still feel pain and limited movement. I have to say this is getting on my nerves that I can't even stay out of bed long enough to do some paperwork or clean something. There are so many things I could be doing right now especially with the kids in school.

Trust me I am so grateful that the surgery went well and I won't have to deal with my TOM anymore and all the other effects that came with it. I know healing will take time. My biggest concern is that I will not be able to exercise for some time and that the weight will pile on which will put me back to square one.

Perhaps my visit with my doc next week will shed some light on how much I can do and who knows perhaps by then I may be able to walk a little. Jeez you think I'm a little antsy? emoticon

I hate when I can't do what I want to too. You just to give into it and you will get better faster. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Thanks so much for your comment on my blog. My surgery was done Robotically. The Doc made it sound so wonderful, but we have to remember it's still major surgery. I'm almost nine weeks post op and still have issues. The surgery was supposed to take about an hour and a half, instead it took four because my bladder was in the way. UGH! I feel much better than I did, but still not myself. Just take care of yourself and don't rush the healing process. Listen to your body.
