Its been too long since I blogged.
The month of August FLEW by! Taking care of my hubby has been challenging but rewarding.
I have been taking care of my dad for quite a few years, but have gone home at night - there is NO break when it is your spouse and your kids do not want to help you. I appreciate the help I have gotten - but if each would come one day a week - it would help so much! I was so exhausted in August I gave up my walking...bad thing to do! emoticon

So I am now a little more rested - I have not worked in three weeks - surgery is Monday and Thank you Lord that Don is able to now get around a bit on his own.

I have made new goals for September: I printed out the spark exercises I want to do - so if I cant log in - I have the exercises in hand. I can log them later.
I am keeping fresh veggies cut up for the week - with fresh fruits on hand. Fiber one is stocked up for three weeks, as emoticon emoticon emoticon hubby has come to love this cereal as much as I do! I cant seem to stay on top of it - so I bought six boxes and every time I go to the store - I buy two more boxes!

The other thing I have decided to do - I am setting his phone alarm for his pills at night, so I can sleep. There is no sense in me not getting my rest - when I can have the pills set up for him to take and he can go right back to sleep. emoticon

I hope I can be more consistent logging in Sept. as well. I left a few teams that I have not logged into for months and have lowered my expectations of what I can do - my team that I lead - Loving Our Kidneys - has emoticon members who are very supportive of me doing what I need to do for my hubby. Thank you all so much!

I love you my spark friends.

Take care and God Bless you!

WE as Mothers and wives are always the care takers, its seems it is born in us. But asking for a little help wont hurt, im sure there are some things they can do to help out and would be glad to do it. Im glad his surgery is finally scheduled and maybe will end some of his pain after the healing takes place. Will be praying for all of you Jen. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Jean, I wish I lived close enough to come over and help.

Have you actually asked your kids for help? I can imagine they wouldn't realize you need help if you didn't ask. You are Mom who always takes care of everything!

Here's to 20 minute power naps! We all wish there was more we could do to help.
