I have a love/hate of the first day of school.

I actually still love having my kids around, so I hate that they are no longer a part of the day, but I do hate seeing them waste a lot of time on the computer...hmmm Mom should take a lesson here... and I always looked forward to the first day of school, loved the shopping and new clean books, no forgotten paper at the bottom of my shiny back pack!

Well my daughter and son went off the to the same school for the first time in three years, her first day of grade 8 (high school) and his first day of grade 11. She was so nervous...and he was so kind!

It will be a different place for her, she is a joiner...him, not so much! Her a kid that everyone knows, him a quiet well liked guy...

For me, a fresh start at making healthy meals to keep them fueled all day. I am so grateful she will have a microwave and I don't have to make her a sandwich every day! She is EXTREMELY picky..so meals are tough...
