I made a batch of Velveeta dip. Enough said? It was enough to ruin 3 days of too many calories. Along the path of loosing weight and becoming healthier, I have learned what foods I need to avoid having around the house. My favorites are pasta and chips/dips. I no longer make "extra" pasta when cooking noodles because I would always overeat. I LOVE simple spaghetti and noodles with garlic salt!! Yum! And before it was over, I would have consumed 3-4 serving sizes.
Chips and dips is another weakness. I just can't stop at a reasonable amount. Of course at gatherings, I won't overdo it because there is an "audience". I also allow myself to have chips/queso as a shared appetizer at restaurants because there is a "limit". But this weekend, I made my own queso. WOW - I made a lot!! So, much that it lasted 3 days. I have a family of 4 but I did most of the consuming! The double whammy - you can't eat queso without chips.
Needless to say, I lost no weight this week and too scared to get on the scale to see if I gained weight. I am close to my goal weight - I only have 3 lbs left. I won't sabotage myself and will take the Spark advise - when you have a set back, take 2 steps forward. I will workout harder this week and plan more exercise.
