Today was race day. I decided to heck with the numbers and just ran for as long as I could. Most of my runs were 5-7 minutes long, with 2 min recovery walks. Considering that I started 5 weeks ago with 1 min runs and 4 min walks that's pretty darn good!
I've done the 5k walk/run three times now, and my time went from 45 min to 40 min 30 sec today. Karate is starting up again tomorrow but I'm planning on at least one run per week, trying to improve. And definitely when I'm going to Germany I'll be taking my running shoes!
