Not alot of answers from the doctor

Saturday, September 03, 2011

I don't know whether it was a good doctor appointment or not. No "real" answers, but some help. He thinks the pains I am getting are from nerve damage from getting my gallbladder removed last year. Like when I person loses a leg but can still feel pain there. It makes sense. He said it might take years to settle down. He weighed me and measured me and went over BMI and risks etc. Nothing I already didn't know. He rechecked all the blood work I had done and can't find anything that would be causing me to feel so weak and fatigued for the alst six months. He told me I was doing everything right!!!!! He was impressed with my walking and watching my caloric intake. He seems to think it could be depression since I already take Wellbutrin. So he added prozac to that and wants to see me in two weeks about it. No help on the bloating. When I was there my belly was normal. I measured it yesterday when it was sticking out and it was 6 inches larger. Makes no sense to me at all.

So now I am trying more anti-depressants and waiting to see what happens. The good news is that I am being referred to a surgeon to have my hernia fixed so maybe he will have some answers about the pain. Its very frustrating.

Aw Girl... you are having a rough go of it hey? We have got to get you turned around and quick! I sure hope the new anti depressants work... keep track of all the side effects though.

Do you drink lots of water? Drinking extra water might help with the bloating.
Im sure you have already searched it but check out this website:

Keep on walking and try getting your heart rate up a bit in between the walking ... the endorphins that produces should start to help with your energy levels if you keep it up on a consistent basis. So walk 5 minutes... pump it up for 30 sec.... and do it for your whole walk... then when you feel like you can manage it lengthen the pump it up parts by 30 sec increments.

I know your struggling but all your efforts are going to be SO SO SO WORTH IT! You DESERVE THIS! YOU ARE WORTH THE EFFORTS!
