New pencils, new paper, new notebooks. I loved back to school time as a child, even though I actually hated school. (Social issues - what chubby kid didn't have those?) SO in September I am always thrilled to throw myself into something new.
Later this week, I'll be starting a new challenge that tracks not just weight lost, but cardio and strength training minutes and points earned on other random health challenges. I want to earn those points! Unless you're in academia, adults don't have many chances to get 'graded'. No one tells you how you're doing. That recognition is a really nice boost for our egos - totaling up my minutes of cardio for the week tells me "I have accomplished something!"
