August angst

Blue stars for walking this month. I'm a bit disappointed in the lack of multiple star days. June calendar page was soooo beautiful. August has been full of gloomy/emotional days and sick days. I hate it when that happens. Really slows me down.


Goal: Drop 5 pounds Actual: 0 lbs (0%) Oh so not happy!

Goal: Walk 72 miles per month Actual: 48.01 miles (67%) Ugh! Barely half my walks!

Goal: Exercise 2880 min. month Actual: 795 min. (28%) Two months in a row with this number being low. That has to change.

Goal: Walk 40 times in 31 days. Actual: 22 times (55%) Seriously???

Wow. I knew August was not going to be my most successful month but yikes! I feel very much like I failed myself. I will admit that August has been a tough month for me but still, I love walking. Why didn't I do better?

Need to rethink September.

    I love your sparkly calendars! Give yourself credit, you deserve it! That calendar looks pretty good to me. Especially when you factor in all the craziness!

Can't wait to see your September goals and that multi-color sparkly calendar page!

    You (all of us) can do better. But look again at that calendar and celebrate how many blue stars ARE there. Maybe next month there will be more!

    You had goals for August, and while you may not be happy with the results, I think you did okay. You DID do something for each of your goals, and as Cheetara said, maybe your goals were set a little too high? Give yourself a pat on the back for what you did accomplish!

I think August can be relaged to the past. My August was too hot and not enough rain. Phewy on August.

  Into everyone's life an "August" will fall. That's just life. it's good to look at the calendar (or in my case, the weekly blog) and understand how stress and illness can temporarily disrupt some really great plans! I have a great idea! Next time I get down, I will ask myself...what would Lucas do? :D Lucas and the frozen watermelon...try try try again! If all else fails, change tactics and get down on the ground! Have some fun!

Speaking of which...FOUR DAYS! Yippee! Enjoy yourself this weekend and have some fun. Give yourself some September stars for that!

    I love your calendar..that looks pretty impressive to me mama!!This is a new month fresh start...You have alot on your plate mrs!..I think you are doing wonderful!...you didn't gain weight..soo i applaud you Linda!!..I am so happy you took sometime to see Lucus..I hope you have a treat planned for yourself this month!..you rock on lil mama!

    I love walking too. Maybe your goals are too aggressive? Walking 48 miles is nothing to sneeze at!
