Even though I am doing my 5K tomorrow, I am already declaring it an unqualified success because of the difference it has made in my life! I committed to do this after my daughter's wedding on April 30 but my doctor put me off my feet for several days due to foot wounds, then we sold the house, bought the house and moved. I finally decided that it was time to honor my commitment to do the C25K - I ran out of excuses. I am 56, have asthma and fibro and RA and CIDP. As you know, I said I wouldn't even run if my butt was on fire. But look at what honoring my commitment did for me by examining my Steps log for the month.
I set my goal at 4000 steps a day.

Note in log: "I may have set my goal too high. I plan to reevaluate it at the end of the week because I am flaring and just plain pooped."

Doing the C25K sure did make a difference in a month. At the beginning of the month I could barely make 4000 steps without being exhausted and now I average 6,148 a day. Of course, I do have the 3000 step days when my health problems flare but I am amazed at what happens when you honor a commitment!
