68 days to a Brand New Me!

Ugh. Today I ran 4 miles in .......45 minutes. That's 11.5-12 minutes per mile. I thought I was alternatively flying and dying. I wonder how fast I was "really" going, since I had to take a few walk breaks in there. Also did about a half hour of Pilates - it is such a wonderful stretch routine.

Now I am a little snoozy but have to engage at work, so I won't be able to indulge in my desire to sleep.

It is so dark at 5 a.m. now, I just hate that. I took the dog with me again because I am convinced the skunks in the country are ganging up on me. Seriously, there's plenty of space for all of us, why do they have to intrude on my running time?? Fortunately, the dog likes to run (faster) more than I do, so he doesn't mind the early morning wake up call one bit.

I did body measurements today which was alternatively happy and depressing. My waist is down 2 inches since I started but nothing else is. In fact, I must have really been snugging up the tape on day 1 because my hips measured an entire inch smaller 4 weeks ago...Hmm. But, I looked in the mirror and can see a waist line. So, tape measures and scales be darned....I look good.

Plus, if i didn't believe it, I saw a neighbour out on Sunday that I haven't seen for a very long time. She caught herself in the middle of "wow you look so thin..."and changed it to "good". So nice, even if she did bite back the compliment a bit. I heard the "th..." sound. Good enough for me.

So, now that I am 22 days into my challenge, I am running faster and longer. I am not eating much better nor drinking enough water. I have a waist! and can see it in a few pieces of clothing now. I haven't weighed in so I don't know where that is at, but I'd bet I'm down 0 pounds. Seems like everything has spent the month shifting around. We'll see on Thursday!
