First I would like to THANK GOD for keeping us safe. I know some people that have went w/o power & are still going w/o power. Some have lost Loved ones! My heart goes out to them.

We were very blessed, yes we lost power but it was only for about 7 hours. It could have been 100 degrees but it wasn't. It could have been longer but it wasn't. We really didn't have any damage, nothing that couldn't be cleaned up in a matter of an hour or less. I just want to THANK GOD for keeping us in his protecting hands. With the Earthquake earlier in the week & then Irene we seriously could have had some major damage or even worse.

My Husband, for those who don't know is very accident prone. Well he decided to go out & move some stuff around. He was worried about the wind throwing it at the house or cars. I told him that I preferred him NOT to go out. Well of course being hard headed HE WENT ANYWAY! He had only been in the house for about 30min. when we heard on the radio that someone had gotten KILLED being "outside" and a tree branch crushed him.
I think it finally sunk in what I was trying to get across to him. FINALLY! Then today he is at work, well he drives a recycle truck & he calls home to see how things are going. Then he goes into telling me that they had to call 911 b/c he pulled up to get a cart and somehow he was sitting on top of a DOWNED ELECTRIC WIRE!! Of course he hadn't seen it but when he got out of the truck the guy at that house hollered to him & told him to move his truck when he looked the wired caught fire. He was worried about getting the truck off the wire so he grabbed the handle to get back in & thought Opps that probably wasn't TOO SMART!!! YOU THINK!!! Again I THANK GOD for looking out for him, sometimes he is worse than my GIRLS!! I remind him ALL the time, he is like a CAT with nine lives and they are RUNNING OUT!!!

I just wanted to say how THANKFUL I AM!! Everyday, Everywhere WE are Blessed!! It's up to us to remember how TRULY BLESSED WE ARE!! Remember to even Thank him for the little blessings!! Look around just in the last week so many of us could be out of here!! Let's STOP stressing the LITTLE stuff and thank the LORD for allowing the devil to mess with us. If he wasn't still "trying" to get you that would mean he had already won!! Take time to Enjoy your blessings today!!
