1st Goal Met - 50lbs Gone Forever!

Today it happened, I stepped on the scale, and the numbers 299.7 blinked back at me..... HOLY COW was I excited. I've been waiting to hit this for the past couple of weeks and I am soooooo ecstatic. Meeting my first goal is so fulfilling. I will never ever see a number starting in 3 on that scale ever again. I just won't. I can't let that happen again. emoticon

I bought myself a new Vera Bradley bag as a reward (Stephanie style in Boysenberry) and I call it my 50lb bag.

I am doing well getting my protein in and I am progressing through to different foods every week. Tonight I had some turkey and chicken taco meat! It was yummy :) Some things that have been ok before aren't ok another time, but I think a lot of that is me not chewing them up enough. I have to remember that every time I put something in my mouth.

Vitamins are no big deal, I have a pill box where you can take out the am/pm for the day and I throw it in my purse as I head to work. I have a Nectar protein shake with 16 oz of non fat milk every day first thing. It helps me hit my protein mark.

Exercise is getting better as I can walk more and faster. I want to do a 5k this year. We'll see!

    Great job! That is so exciting. I wish you luck with your 5k goal! I did my first one this year and it felt great to finish it.

    Congratualations!
Chewing things well enough was one of the hardest habits for me personally, but once you get into the habit, it makes all the difference!
