1st stage Spark Diet- Strategy Finding Time

Sunday, August 28, 2011

In this video blog I discuss ways to improve your lifestyle.

It takes TIME to change your lifestyle, but you must MAKE time & FIND TIME to change your lifestyle.

It is impotent to FIND time and MAKE time to exercise. I have three suggestions to help you to create exercise as part of your lifestyle..

1. Exercise early in the morning before you start your day.
2. Workout before you go back home from work or school.
3. Exercise whenever you can.

I personally think that creating a workout schedule is a great way to stick with a weekly time to workout.

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me to win.

Shelly thank you for, once again, feeding me inspiration and awareness. You're 100% correct: Can't succeed on this journey without my personal Lord and Savior! I am struggling with "finding time" for exercise right now. I know that if I can make time for the computer, for friends and for shopping, I have plenty of time for exercise! I thank God for you, daily, and want you to know that. I can lose this regained weight, I will lose it and look forward to being your prayer partner through it all. Please continue to guide our team, share in the ups and downs of everyone possible, and let us help you when needed! Looking forward to the next few steps!
Yours Because His, Becci

I hope with all my heart emoticon , Shelly, that you don't quit being a Spiritual motivator for people. You truly are a Spiritual Director on this Team as well. If it had not been for you in February of 2012, helping and leading me to learn the tools on Spark People, I would not have lost 31 pounds. I was so motivated with tracking my food, exercising daily, and eating within my calorie range planned out for me. You were the one to lead me through our Dear Lord.
I reached my goal in October of that year. My motivation was as blessing from God. I imagined and believed it would stay with me always. Maintenance was a wonderful experience. It lasted for a number of months, but then I slowly began putting my lost pounds back on.
The reason why this happened, that I regained all but 6 pounds, was because I began focusing on another health issue, and it was one that wasn't necessary. I thought it was worth the effort to work on the issue. The problem is though, I took my focus off of all my hard work and efforts on this wonderful Team. I quit exercising somewhere along their way, and eventually I began eating many things I wouldn't have considered doing. For an example, when I was visiting, one of my regular doctors, who no longer are my doctors, my Husband and I would head over to Culvers to eat. I would order a healthy salad, and take a good part of it home for another meal. Most often it was because I would order a one scoop Turtle Sundae. A one scoop sundae is 606 calories, and 41 grams of fat! This usually happened at least a couple times a month. I grew so lax on my eating habits.
Enough of that though, but my point is, it doesn't take long to get off track. Shelly never gave up on me, and has encouraged me. I'm back to daily exercise and my food program is finally making positive waves in my life. The last two days I can feel my progress, and it is feeling very good.
Thank you Shelly for all you do for this team. I just began looking at your video blogs as of April. I love them, and I love you, very, very much! emoticon emoticon Janis emoticon

Shelly, it is like making a date with someone who is important to you.

We have to make a date with ourself to exercise just like spending time with God.

same thing.
