What I have learned

Saturday, August 27, 2011

Funny how we get older and you think if I only knew this when I was younger, just think where I would be today! Well nearing 40, I have learned about myself allot this past year. I realize things that I really wish I knew when I was younger! But as we age, we grow, and I love sharing my wisdom with my step-daughter. I can't wait till one day she says that to her self! Here are just a few things I have learned and look forward to learning more as I gracefully age!

Beauty is only skin deep! It's what is inside that counts

Suntan lotion does make you tan

I don't need to waste my weekends laying in the sun when there is so much more to do in the world

I don't need others to make me happy!

Exercising makes me feel good and energetic!

I love sweet potatoes - they used to scare me

I love trying new things, it can be fun

Don't depend on others, if you need to do something, just do it!!

You can do anything your heart desires if you put your mind to it

You need a college education to get a good job and to learn!! I dropped out of college because of boys and lazyiness

Saving money to buy something nice is always worth more then charging it

Giving makes you feel good!

It's not always about you!

I don't need or even like fried foods anymore

Food is not the enemy, I am!

Being a strong woman, gets you respect and you don't get pushed around

Being nieve is just foolish!

Listen to your gut feeling, it's normally right

Speeding in the car will get you a ticket! Blond hair and a smile doesn't always work!

Be supportive of your mate and he will return the favor to you

Cooking is a release for me and I enjoy it, wither is be healthy or bad food!

Be independent, you don't always have to follow the crowd!

A number on the scale doesn't mean everything, life goes on

Start out with baby steps and you'll get to where you need to go!

Life is precious, enjoy every moment you have

Watching to much tv is just wasting time. You feel better if your doing something else.

I love peanut butter! Never used to!

I still don't like mushrooms no matter how much I try to like them! Yuck!!

I am sure I could go on and on. But I want to know what have you learned?

Your list covers a wide range of lessons learned. I nodded my head in agreement with several and wondered what is taking me so long to fully comprehend others. Congratulations on your success!
