Cardio minutes? WHAT cardio minutes????

Well this week has been a big disappointment, exercise-wise. The first couple of days were decent and I managed to get out and do a reasonable amount of brisk walking each day. Then, the work beast reared its ugly head and I spent Wed-Fri with my a$$ chained to my desk (Wednesday was stellar - 7 am to midnight!!!?!!!), and was not able to get ANY decent cardio in.

It is this aspect of my work that makes my number one dream the one about early retirement. I HAVE to find a way to at least semi-retire in the next very few years because I so dislike having so much of my time taken up with work and leaving so little energy for LIFE!

Of course it is all exacerbated by my going on vacation in 5 days, which means that I need to do almost the equal amount of work that I would have done during those two weeks I'll be away, in order to prepare things and leave things in order in my absence.

Yes, I know - whine, whine, whine.... emoticon

If I thought it would help anything I'd toss back a few tequilas tonight, but unfortunately that will only make things worse.

This weekend (starts right now) is the big latin festival that is held here in a big park. I am going to go tonight as there is a really good band playing later, so I hope to DANCE! If I get enough dancing in then I'll have done my cardio for the day. Ditto if I spend some time there on Saturday and between working some more and trying to get things organized at home and getting packed. Monday and Tuesday will be ridiculously busy again at work.
