Good bye weight loss ticker.....

Sad to say but today I'm facing the music of taking my weight loss ticker off my page. I have Hypothyroidism and they say not to compare or focus on the weight lost part. I'm so thankful for it as in over the last 14 months I did loss 17 pounds vs the normal 10 to 20 pounds people gain. But now is the time to focus on working out and healthy eating which slowly will still lead to pounds gone. Even with my goal weight maybe years away I'm not giving up!! I here for the long run. emoticon and all my current and future Spark friends. emoticon

    ... and if possible focus on lifting weights and strength training; when you build muscle it will burn fat more efficiently and will also make you shrink in size equivalent to "inches loss"... what all this mean? That you will still end up wearing smaller clothes. The scale does not have the last word. emoticon

    You know, I think that is a positively wise thing to do! I know I don't want to gauge my success by a freakin' number on the scale.     You are doing great! Sometimes ditching the scale is just the thing to get everything back in order. There are weeks when I am so focused on the number I see that I forget that it was easier to do rounds with my trainer, or that I successfully got into my "skinny" jeans again. You can do anything you set your mind to, I'm confident!!

    If you keep up the execise and eat healthily - u will feel good and thats what counts. Also measure yourself because u can change shape awithout seeing weight loss.

    Follow the doc's advice.. they'll get ya leveled out and it doesn't matter what a scale says as long as you love who you see in the mirror (I'm talking about your inner window - not your reflection)

    I think it is a great idea to take off the ticker in order to focus on healthy living instead of how many pounds you have lost. Living each day to the fullest and being healthy and happy are the most important things - not the number on the scale!

    I am learning that we ought to not measure our success by the numbers on the scale. I think its more about eating healthy, living healthy, exercising. Keeping positive and....in the end, it will work out. YOU are will do it...your not giving up attitude is positive and ....a positive attitude makes just about all things attainable. YOU can DO it!
